How to rent with CARS in less than 1-hour

3. You will receive a call back to complete the rental agreement after the reservation is confirmed.
4. When you receive the agreement via DocuSign to sign the agreement, the main driver will provide a Valid U.S. Driver's License for all drivers, proof of current residence dated within 30 days (can be a screenshot of a website or an app), and confirmation of Collision Damage Warranty (CDW) Coverage.
Standard vehicles require a $300.00 refundable deposit for local driving + a $25 cleaning fee refundable deposit. Long distance beyond a 100-mile radius is a refundable deposit of $500.00.
Rental prices range from $50 daily to $99 daily for our standard vehicles. Options and availability changes, so check back again soon.
Unlike other rental locations, we DO NOT CHARGE FOR MILEAGE! The price you are quoted is all you pay. Just come back with the fuel level you left with, no violations to our T&C, and your deposit is 100% refundable!

Q&A
For rental of our variety of used and new vehicles, we require a valid driver's license issued by any US state, proof of permanent residence in any US state, full agreement to our terms and conditions and cash payment.
All vehicles are insured. However, you as the driver of a rental or shared services vehicle may not be covered and therefore, some vehicles rented with CARS may require a separate purchase of temporary (Collision Damage Warranty) CDW rental insurance for every day of rental possession. We suggest Bonzah.com or you may use another rental car coverage insurance company for CDW coverage. Customers can use their personal auto insurance to file any claims for any accidents, however, you must provide the insurance deck statement confirming the vehicle has been added to your personal insurance.
There are additional charges for administrative and GPS management of the vehicle included in your rental costs, or if you want to add another valid driver or for long distance driving beyond a 100-mile radius. We offer affordable rates and a refundable deposit is required, amounts vary by vehicle.
We are a first come, first serve business. The minimum rental period is 2-days. We prefer no walk-ins, give us a call to write up your rental agreement, email it to you and confirm a pick-up time. If a deposit is required to hold your reservation for a later pick up time or date, and CARS has approved the request for rental, then a deposit will be required immediately upon reservation confirmation. The renter will have up to 1 hour to make the deposit payment to hold the reservation pickup date/time. If no deposit is confirmed or received, the reservation may be cancelled and a new request for a vehicle will need to be resubmitted. We do not guarantee vehicle availability.
What are the refundable deposits?
We are a cash business and do not request for your debit or credit card to charge. Instead, we require a refundable deposit to cover any fees or charges that occur during the rental period that may be a violation of our terms and conditions.
For our standard vehicles, the refundable deposit is from $300.00 to $500.00 for local driving. If customers choose to extend their rental, the refundable deposit remains on the account. When the vehicle is returned with no violations to the T&C, the full deposit will be refunded, we say 24 hours, but usually it is immediate.
For Long Distance approved travel, the refundable deposit is $500 and the daily vehicle rate is increased by $10 per day, no mileage charges. Long Distance is any travel on any day during the rental period that is beyond a 100-mile radius from our home office in Riverdale.
What do I need to do to rent a vehicle with CARS?
Reserve the vehicle on the booking online page. Feel free to give us a call if you have any questions or need clarification of our terms and conditions. We request that you do not show up to the location without a reserved pick-up time for a vehicle. We will write up the rental agreement with your details, confirming the requirements you will provide for rental approval, and then email the rental agreement to you, along with confirmation of the pick-up time for the vehicle.
Third-party insurance will need to be purchased and apply to the main driver or the vehicle during the full rental period.
You will have 1-hour from the pick-up time to arrive to check out the vehicle prior to automatic cancelation.
If you are not requesting same day rental, and your future reservation is approved, then you will be required to pay a deposit to hold the vehicle, which is due at the time of the rental request. We work best with same day rental requests. We require a minimum of 2-days (48 hours) rental.
What are the pick-up times for your vehicles?
Standard hours are between 9am - 5pm. Exceptions may be made depending on vehicle availability or special pick up time requests.
Are there any extra fees?
Yes. There are additional fees for temporary rental insurance for every day of rental possession. There are several options online for Third Party Coverage for Collision Damage Warranty (CDW). For easy coverage, we suggest RentalCover.com or another rental car coverage insurance company. Customers can use their personal auto insurance to file any claims for any accidents, however, you must provide the insurance deck statement or Binder confirming the vehicle has been added to your personal insurance. The VIN number will be provided on your agreement.
There are additional charges for administrative and GPS management of the vehicle included in your rental.
There is a $15 per day charge if you want to add another valid driver.
Long distance driving beyond a 100-mile radius requires a $500 refundable deposit and $10 additional per day.
Also, charges may occur if returning vehicle late or with damages as outlined in the terms and conditions. Other fees may apply according to our terms and conditions as well.
What are my insurance options?
Renters have the option of using their own insurance. If renters choose to apply their own insurance, then a copy of the Binder or statement deck with the vehicle added to the insurance coverage will need to be provided. We only suggest this if you are planning to rent long term.
Another option for renters is using a 3rd party insurance company such RentalCover.com. Coverage provided will need to be for Collision Damage Warranty (CDW) or Damage Cover Insurance.
Renters will be charged for no proof of insurance purchase. This allows you to obtain insurance however, there is a penalty cost of $25 a day for every day no coverage is confirmed. With this option of $25 a day, the cost will be deducted from your deposit for up to 2 days, at which time your deposit must be brought back up to the original deposit amount. With this option the vehicle is legal to drive but in case of an accident the driver is fully responsible. Charges may continue until the deposit is depleted or the rental agreement is canceled. Third party or your own insurance will be required to extend rentals
What are the current Terms and Conditions for renting a vehicle with C.A.R.S.?
Agreement 1 – Payments and Vehicle use
The renter understands that the vehicle rental is solely a transfer of possession, and not of ownership, and is intended for legal use and purposes.
Rental service may be refused to anyone at any time when done in the best interest of the renting company or customer. All payments are prepaid. All rental vehicles are due for return to the same location at the same time as check-out on the agreed upon check-in date. Within 12 hours of check-in there will be an assessment on the vehicle to determine if any additional charges or fees will be applied or if partial or full total of the deposit will be refunded.
The main driver as the renter will need to provide a valid Driver’s License and proof of permanent residence (lease or lease statement/utility bill/phone bill/bank statement) that is dated within 30 days of check-out date. If any changes occur to the rental agreement main or additional driver details at any time while the vehicle is in the renters’ possession, the renters will notify C.A.R.S. immediately.
Agreement 2 – Deposits
A deposit is required to rent a vehicle and the amount of deposit may be dependent on the vehicle rented and if the rental agreement is for local or long distance rental.
ONLY DEPOSITS ARE REFUNDABLE if you satisfy all the terms and conditions of the agreement. Deposits are only returned to the main driver/renter.
Additional fees or charges may be deducted from the deposit. The deposit is not for charges of daily rental, insurance, or for adding another driver.
Deposits will be refunded within 24 hours of check-in time, assuming that there are no violations of the terms and conditions of the agreement.
Agreement 3 – Fees and Charges
The total rate is based on the exact parameters (location, dates, etc.) of your particular rental, so changing any details of your confirmed reservation could result in a different rate, taxes, and fees. Quoted taxes and fees are subject to change which may result in a change of the final total due for payment.
Vehicles are rented on a daily (24hour) basis. The time on your current rental agreement is the beginning and ending time of rental. The time applies to all dates the vehicle is rented. There is a 29-minute grace period for returns. After 29 minutes, a $25 late return fee will be applied to the total rental charged to the deposit or may be paid separately.
For approved extensions, the $25 late payment fee applies after a 1-hour grace period. There will be a $25 fee applied every hour thereafter until the extension payment is made or the vehicle is returned.
If the extension is denied, not approved or canceled, or the vehicle is not returned at the end of the current rental period, and there is no acceptable notice from the renter, CARS will take legal action and report the vehicle stolen and this will result in loss of the entire deposit.
Agreement 4 – Extensions and Rental Returns
At any time during the current rental period, if you wish to extend the rental return date beyond the current rental period, contact the rental company by phone call, text, or email prior to your scheduled return time to request an extension.
If the extension is approved, a payment must be completed before the end of the current rental period. An updated agreement will be provided after all payments are confirmed. If the renter requests a vehicle transfer for any reason, there may be a change to the total due for payment and a transfer rental agreement will need to be signed. If your request for an extension was denied, the rental vehicle must be returned at the end of the current rental time.
If the extension is approved and the renter does not make the payment within 1-hour of the end of rental grace period time, there is a $25 fee applied to the extension payment. After the 1-hour grace period, and the extension payment is not completed within an acceptable time as deemed by the rental company, the process will be treated as an unreturned vehicle, and this will result in loss of the deposit.
CARS may request for the vehicle to come to the office for a vehicle check. The renter will then be required to bring the vehicle in and the request is non-negotiable.
CARS reserves the right to request the return of the vehicle or repossess the vehicle from any location at any time and/or shut the vehicle down as inoperable at any time. There may be an additional repossession or reactivation fee applied or prevent you from renting with CARS again.
Rental extensions must be for at least 2 days and up to 7 days. If CARS approves requested exceptions for rental, there may be additional fees applied.
Agreement 5 – Fuel
The renter must refill the fuel tank to the same level as when the vehicle was rented, within a 10-mile radius of the rental return facility and present a fuel receipt to avoid a refueling charge.
If the fuel tank is not at the same level as when the vehicle was rented, the renter agrees to pay USA refueling charge of $5 per gallon to return the fuel level to the same as start of rental.
Renter understands what gas to use for the vehicle rented and if unsure, will verify with the rental car company.
Renter agrees to refuel as soon as possible once the cruising range falls below 30 miles distance to empty. Always switch off the engine before refueling. Do not constantly drive the vehicle with less than ¼ tank of gas.
In freezing temps (below 45 degrees), allow the vehicle to warm up for at least 5 minutes before driving and maintain a gas level above ¼ tank to avoid gas freezing.
Agreement 6 – Smoking
SMOKING IS NOT ALLOWED in all vehicles. You agree to loss of entire deposit for smoking in the vehicle leaving any stains, burns, marks, odor or requiring excess cleaning.
Agreement 7 – Vehicle Cleanliness
There is a $20 cleaning charge if the vehicle is returned with trash in the vehicle and may be applied to deposit refund or paid separately.
At CARS discretion, if the returned vehicle is deemed excessively dirty inside or outside of the vehicle, this will result in the loss of entire deposit.
Renter is not to add any decals, stickers, window tinting, paint, confetti, decorations or apply any modifications to the vehicle rented. Any unapproved modifications to the vehicle will result in loss of the entire deposit or a charge applied to the deposit refund balance at the discretion of CARS.
Anything left in the vehicle after return will be discarded.
Agreement 8 – Pets
Pets are not allowed in the rental vehicle unless approved by CARS at the time of the rental reservation, vehicle transfer or agreement update. The renter must notify CARS if you intend to allow a pet in the vehicle and CARS must approve the request for the pet to be allowed in the vehicle. If the request for a pet is allowed, there will be a Pet Charge applied to the daily rental amount.
If the request for a pet in the rental vehicle is denied and the customer violates this agreement or refuses to notify CARS of a pet in the vehicle, there will be a fee applied to the deposit refund, or result in the loss of the entire deposit, or renter may be prevented from renting with CARS in the future.
CARS reserves the right to approve or deny a pet in the vehicle and the final decision may also depend on the pet species, as well as, may limit the total number of pets allowed.
Agreement 9 – Taxes
Taxes are charged at 7% per day Georgia Sales Tax
Agreement 10 – GPS and Vehicle Notifications
A vehicle tracker or GPS monitor is installed for the protection of the vehicle and to obtain the car location at all times.
If either is damaged or tampered with while in renter’s care, or the vehicle is reported as abandoned or traveled beyond an approved distance during the current rental, this will cause loss of entire deposit.
CARS receives vehicle reports on driving behaviors. If there are too many violations, the rental agreement will be canceled and the vehicle must be returned upon notification and will result in loss of entire deposit. This includes speed alerts at or above 80 mph.
Agreement 11 – Long Distance Travel
Local vehicle rental has a driving radius limit of 100-miles from the main office rental location, zip code 30349.
If CARS is informed that the currently rented vehicle has left the state of Georgia or has driven outside of a 100-mile radius of the office rental location, and did not receive prior approval, this may result in immediate loss of the entire deposit and force legal action.
For approved Long Distance travel beyond a 100-mile radius from rental location, there will be an additional charge per day for the vehicle rental and an increased deposit will apply. Long Distance travel must be approved in writing at the start of every rental period and not all vehicles in the CARS fleet are approved for long distance travel and may not be available.
Long distance rates will apply for every day of the current rental agreement, whether the vehicle has actually traveled to the approved destination or remained local. The long-distance destination address must be confirmed by the main renter and if outside a 100-mile radius from the office location, will be charged the long-distance rate during the rental period. Renter may not travel beyond 100-miles from the confirmed destination unless prior approval is provided or unless returning vehicle to home office location. If there is a change to the agreement during the current rental period, a new rental agreement will be provided and must be signed to become effective.
CARS reserves the right to repossess the vehicle from any location at any time and/or shut the vehicle down as inoperable at any time during the rental period due to agreement violations and will result in the loss of the entire deposit.
Agreement 12 – Vehicle Issues or Damage
The Main Driver Renter and any additional drivers are fully responsible in the case of an accident or incident regarding the rental vehicle. All vehicles are legal to drive. The Renter must immediately inform about any or all car issues, road accidents including scratches, crashes, theft involving the vehicle or any stolen parts and/or any other incident the vehicle is involved in. Any accident damaging the vehicle will cause a loss of partial or all of the entire deposit and the main driver agrees to be responsible for payment for all repairs which may be additionally invoiced to the customer. If the renter(s) receives any insurance payment for claims made for any accidents in a CARS rental vehicle, the payment shall be turned over to CARS for coverage of all repairs.
CARS may request the renter to arrive at certain locations for vehicle maintenance at any time during the rental period and renter must agree to the instructions provided or risk not having access to the vehicle for some time during the rental period or rental cancelation. CARS will determine if reimbursement is applied and when, if any.
If, during the current rental period, the vehicle becomes inoperable, to no fault of renter, a partial refund may apply and/or a new vehicle may be provided to renter if possible and a transfer agreement provided and must be signed to become active.
Lost or severely damaged hubcap will result in a charge of $150 per hubcap or loss of entire deposit. If the key(s) or key fob(s) are not returned with the vehicle, this will result in the loss of your entire deposit. Any accident damaging the vehicle will cause a loss of partial or all of the entire deposit.
Agreement 13 – Insurance Coverage - All Vehicles are legally insured
Renters have the option of using their own insurance. If renters choose to apply their own insurance, then a copy of the statement deck with the vehicle added to the insurance coverage will need to be provided.

Agreement 14 – Fines and Traffic Violations
The renter is responsible for any traffic toll charges, violations or fines that occur during the current rental period. The charges, if not paid separately, will be deducted from the deposit.
You authorize us to release your billing/rental information to third parties for billing/processing purposes.
Agreement 15 – Valid Drivers
A valid driver's license (DL) issued by any US state, territory or possession of the United States, and valid for the entire rental period, must be presented at the start of the initial rental period by all drivers.
If approved by CARS, the main renter/driver may allow 1 additional driver for an additional $15 to be added to the total daily rate. The rental company must be notified of any intention or request to add one additional driver during the current rental period, prior to the start of rental or prior to any extensions.
All drivers must have the original unexpired DL at the time of rental start. A temporary Valid Driver’s License is acceptable. We will request a copy of the valid DL for all drivers listed to keep on file. Some exceptions or additional information may be requested or approved for the purposes of verifying identity.
All drivers must be 21 years or older at start time of the current rental period.
The Main Driver is responsible for returning the vehicle at the end of the rental period. Deposit balances are only returned to the main driver/renter.
Allowing unauthorized drivers will result in loss of your entire deposit.
Agreement 16-18 – Additional Details
16) There are NO REFUNDS on rental days, extra fuel left in vehicle upon return, unused mileage, or early return of rental vehicle.
17) We are not responsible for any items left in the rental vehicle or stolen from the vehicle.
18) All taxes, fees, charges, and payments due must be satisfied immediately upon notification. Cash payments are accepted. Payments made using the CashApp service will have a 3% processing fee added to the total balance due for rental and must be paid at the time of the transaction.
